Thanks for the Blues

I feel the need to give a a shout out to the difficult flatemate who has caused me nothing but stress, who has know just turned things from bad to worse. You see the yesterday she went on a rant to the landlord about how she needs to live by herself (great move out your a dirty and crazy cow). And the landlord agreed as well because the elctricity bill was double because the new girl was putting her heating on all day and night. So now hes thinking of selling or moving into the flat in 3 months, don't know whats worse. So heres to you, you selfish wailing banshee, I hope you meet something who so selfish who drains the energy out of you. I hope you get the marriage you deserve. Thanks for making the next 3months the worst of my life, as I now have to look for another dive and hope my family can lend me money so I can pay for it. Here's two fingers to you (insert other curse word)you cunt.
Things I might of afford if I earned more then just pay the bills.

Goodbye Old Friend

When I was nine I bagged my mum to get me a cat, My Gran knew a lady whose prized breeding persuian cat had got jiggy with a local tom resulting in a litter of mixed kittens. When trying to select two kittens to take home, I saw a kind of tortuoise shell cat playing with a black cat (Dillion). I named my turtouise shell cat called Tabitha after the Beatrice Potter character. Dillion and Tabitha lived in each other pockets and when Dillion wandered of in the summer of 2009 aged 16, she cried for days out in the Garden for him, after that she hardly went out and slept and slept. By December 2009 she was refusing to go outside to the toilet. So in the end the decision was made to put her to sleep, it was so quick, she had gone floppy by the time the injection was fully in her system and stopped breathing after 12 seconds.
I took her home and buried her in the garden she hated the garden she would of much prefered to be buried inside at home.

Sad Mad Life

Their nothing sadder then an epiphany that everything is a lie, and all it does is hold you back. So what have I been doing to fight the blues, shopping on credit!
I have just bought this pretty number for £30.

And look at all these lovely dresses, you can spend your money, not buying just browsing.

Downpour

Yesterday, I had the shock of my life, the person I thought I was trying to form a relationship with annnounced through facebook he was seeing someone else. Obvious I am furious, because I suspect my other friend knew this (he told me they were best friends and told each other everything), but decided to side with her other friend, which shows me were I am in the pecking order of friendship. Another reason im upset is he was whooing her at the same time as me, thirdly I hate time wasters who only became friendly with you to use you, he has not contacted me since he got what he wanted twice over, creep, so I have deleted them from the facebook, removed them from my phone. TTYN peeps.
On a sad day like this I would but on a vintage dress, but I have worn everything I have, so have bought this for £22. Goodbye Beswick you wont dry my tears.

Sunday's a Washout

Its raining heavy and not what better time to wear something nice, this is an vintage dress, I got from my favourite shop. I'm not sure of the date, its looks 30's but the seam stitch is zig zag, and the seller wasn't sure so I got it for £22, paired with the hardest working cardigan and a waist belt from Primark.

I have been sorting through my vintage stuff, as eventually I will be moving out, and storing my vintage is going to be a problem. This cute little silk bag is from a vintage shop in Nottingham, inside is a little mirror, I can only think of one occasion when I would use such a bag is on my wedding day, but since I don't believe in Marriage, that's unlikely to happen. Should it stay or should it go?

Ugly

This week I feel angry, I blame hormones, and fake eBay bidders, pushing up the prices! I want to smash things, and be rude, so today I thought I should wear something nice and eat bread. I thought I would channel the Ugly Betty look, as the character is looking really fashionable, and now the actress is thinner she can pull of a puffa coat! Its probably a Marc Jacobs, but still, a puffa coat! The cardigan is from the 90s a charity shop buy from my Gran. Ten years ago my Gran went to a charity and picked up two vintage sequin cardigans, and gave them to her two youngest daughters, one was a vintage enthusiast the other a city girl. I was terribly jealous, I wanted one! So my Granny promised to buy me one if she ever found one again.
The dress was from eBay, America I got it for a good price as it didn't picture well, but was a beauty.
I wear about 20% of my wardrobe, 50% is vintage, out of that 25% of it is dressy, 10% doesn't fit. I don't wear my vintage much as I think its under appreciated by most of my friends, and I also worry about keeping it clean. The other 21% of wardrobe is stuff I like to keep nice, so I don't wear it as much, I don't buy things because they are fashionable, I don't have a fashionable shape, I like to buy things because they are classic and will last and to be honest you will never know when things will change and you have to cut back. And that 9% well its the summer wear, which could still come out if I add cardigans and 60 denier tights.
Update: I give up selling on eBay, the fees are too much, if you only sell on off, and then paypal takes it cut, and then the postage and packaging is only enough just cover that, and for some things you cant even charge for that!No wonder eBay seems to be full of it buy it now, that's the only way to recuperate your costs. Rubbish, going to Etsy.

Not a Happy Bunny- Its Raining

Guess what! I actual made it to a job interview, I got up really early, it would of been praticual to take the rail, but before 9.30 is too expensive, especially for a job I probably wont get. I got their quite early, the place didnt look to bad, it was a rented office place.
I saw my interviewer, he asked me a few questions, then he said I live too far to be considered, I was livid, I then went into a speech, that most of my roles have involved at least an 1hr travel up to 2.5hrs and because the travel distance would only be a problem if I had to get their before buses started running or finish really late. What I should of said is, if that the case you wasted my time and my money, pay up.
It shouldnt be allowed, I know their more people out of work, but I dont think employeers should waste peoples time and money, just to make up the numbers.
The only saving grace, well their isnt one really, as I have wasted money traveling, wasted money because I needed a pick me up, in the form of carrot cake.
The bakers over the road had real carrot cake, probabley store bought, and not the dodgy version that they get one of two friends to make. The one version made by the person who can cook, is a lovely moist carrot cake, and then theirs the other person who really cant cook or follow receipes, really the homemade chocolate and carrot cake might as well be the same thing they taste like poison, and the trouble is you cant tell apart the good carrot cake from the bad one.
Yes I do like carrot cake, Portobello Market has a stall that does the best carrot cake cupcakes, and Selfridges has a nice Swedish Carrot cake, yum yum.
Yes we must gain pleasure from simple things.

Ultimate Mood Lifter- Keeping your Chin Up

When I am sad I like to dress up in my most glamorous frocks, when Im very sad I just like to eat Ben and Jerry's ice cream in front of a slasher movie.
Here's me in a 1940s cocktail dress, that I purchased from the Hammersmith Vintage Fair, I have to say I don't go their anymore now that my free ticket entrance as dried up as well as I kinda didnt like the atmosphere anymore, it seemed like a few of the sellers were disappointed with the amount of sales they were getting or maybe it was the crowd. They would whisper things when I used to take my aunt, like "she's not going to buy anything!" As if black people dont like vintage. I actually get the same feeling when I look for vintage in Greenwich, there was this lovely desk with attached chair in one of the shops, but I didnt want to buy it as I felt ill at ease.

Material of dress is like a waterproof coat, weird but functional.

My Jakob Bengel Earrings I bought at Angels Antique Arcade

I then change into my glamorous nightwear, it is probably a dressing gown in the true since you but it on as you get ready, it was the first vintage piece of clothing I ever bought from Ebay and I remember waiting, worried it may get lost in international post.

The person who made it, stitched the shoulder wrong, then unpicked it and did it again, that why I love vintage it has a story and conscience.

Coupled with my Hollywood ostrich cape (Grays Antique Market), apparently Kate Moss wear it in a photoshoot for some magazines like I D, that probably explains the burn mark on it and the faint smell of smoke. I feel so Hollywood, its the ultimate mood lifter.

Washout Wednesday

I had my 2nd interview this month and I didn't make it, I had to take the bus because at the minute Im living on £5 a week, I factored in traffic, but I didn't factor in the rain or walking distance so I was more then 15 minutes late for the interview. I probably could of called them but phone calls are pricy on my line, I decided not to go in as they wouldn't consider me as a professional for being so late anyway and to be honest I would need to give one hell of an interview for them to overlook that, and by looking at the severe red eyes I woke up with this morning I wasnt gonna get this job. Never mind I didnt want to work their anyway.

GoodBye

Goodbye online diary, you were my source of hope, and a record of the struggles I seem to be born to keep enduring. Part inflicted by myself...
