V&A in Nov

So where do you take your boyfriend when you are low on funds? Why the museum of course. At the time there seemed to be quite a few fee paying dress exhibits at the V&A, which means its a bit silly to have a really good free exhibit, so why pay?

Christmas Comes Twice

I know its New Year but I havn't finished catching up in 2012! I did something I never did before I had a christmas with no family. In Novemeber me and my Partner celebrated our christmas, anticapting that work would get in the way of our celebrations. My other half lost his job so we celebrated christmas regardless. No turkey this year, lovely chicken and I worked my first Boxing Day in 12 years of working (time to change jobs).

More Horrockses and Why Ebay is over for me

I finally sold my PVC corset! Pretty upset as I had been waiting for it to be in my price range for ages (like 6 months) then I lost weight (was the idea) and now its too big. Unfortuntely I spent the revenue the next day as I discovered a Horrockses dress and you now what, its the same print as my other Horrockses so I had to buy it. Now being a seasoned buyer of vintage I now know that whenever I see a duplicate of something I should buy it. Still kicking myself for not buying that Pat Sandler knit dress with the gold bow (still hoping to get back into that)and it was a great price as well. Still waiting for my Swirl dress which I also bought, I also discovered the seller had put it on eBay. Do hope they decided to sell it to me and not the highest bidder. And today I saw my first Opera at the Royal Opera House called L'elisir d'amore and crossed on of my things to do before I am thirty list. I went to Portsmouth Part 1

I last went to Portsmouth 10 years and a lot has changed there is a shiny Outlet shopping Centre and Southsea is full of independant shops, I found 3 vintage shops. Most of the pictures are taken in Southsea.

Busy Bee

It has been a while since I last posted. I have been a very busy bee in the last 3 months, dating, working through the Olympics and Parolympics means I had very little time to myself lately. Some of the places I have been are Lincoln highly recommend if you are looking for vintage things like jewellery, fabric or throws and crockery. Highlights for me include Steep HIll and Lincoln Castle. I have also been spending a lot of time in Reading where my beau resides. And I'm back on the Atkins as cute vintage clothes is harder to buy in Size 14. The results mean I have gone down a dress size and can fit in my nearly purchased Swirl of 38 bust 27 waist.
