Wednesday-No camera allowed

On Wednesday I forget my camera, on the way through Euston I walked past a entrance that said Deutshe Borse Photography Prize, admission free.

Thomas Demand, Roe Ethridge, Jim Goldberg and Elad Lassry are the four photographers nominated for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2011. My favourite pieces were Heirloom Tomatoes and Sea Puzzle by Elad Lassry and Jim Goldberg political inspired images, of war and poverty. Visited Ilford Library and finally saw there exhibits.
An extra pattern, for late delivery.

Tuesday Blows

Chocolate from Spitsfield Market. Not a fan of the milk chocolate, but the white chocolate with ginger and chili was so nice it didn't survive the 2hr journey back.
I managed to get to Edgware, where I visited Alfie's Antique market(13-25 Church St), off loaded the broach. Cried when I saw Beswick Circus, teapot, butter dish and tv set displayed in a glass cabinet.
A pattern in the post.

When I was at Grays buying my Bakelite Gillian Horsup recommended a book I should buy called Bakelite Bangles by Karima Parry. The lowest price you can find at Amazon is around £52, but I managed to get it on eBay for under £30.

Monday was a Shop Day

Firstly I have to admit going to London with only £10 in your pocket for a week is an impossible task so Increased my budget to £15 and received cash donations totalling £10 by the end of the week.

Monday
On Monday I hit Oxford Street for Marks and Spencer to exchange my dress.
I tried on four of the dresses I had spotted on the website.
Only one was successful but it wasn't that great.
I had to go to Grays Antique Market took look at Gillian Horsup stock, I have been visiting this dealer at least twice a year for the last 5 years. We went through 20 plus different bangles, finding ones that would go over my hand. I really wanted earrings or a broach to match and luck would have it Gillian found these earrings to match one of my Mississippi bangles. I didn't break my challenge really as I did it on credit but later on I was able to cover the spend with actual cash.

Frock Me- This Sunday

I bought this the last time I went to Frock Me at Chelsea Town Hall 3 years ago, you see I wanted to collect them they were horribly expensive at Alfies Antique Market so I was chuffed to find it at £180. After that I discovered eBay and visiting the fairs went out of the window
The next fair is this Sunday 11am-5pm entry is £4

Miss Rita Von Squeeze

I already expressed my horror of this episode, it all was so very forced and Miss D was the professional. Maybe it would of worked better if it had centre around Nick, less emphases on the fact she is a stripper. But I do love the line "I loved you since Tuesday."

The £10 Challenge

Next week I will be starting my new Challenge, enjoying my week off on £10. It would be more if I haven't had to pay out for travel fare. But I don't think I could survive a week at the flat, listening to a girl complain about the cold when its double figure temperatures outside.
In the good old days I could rely on a cheque but I said yes to the dress, which now promptly needs to be exchanged to replace old things.
So like any self respecting person trying to keep up the image, I am on the look out for the freebies! Going to Museums and visiting attractions are mostly free and I have some euros for the donation box, but what about eating out?
In the good old days you could wander around London and be given food freebies, test our new crisps, chocolates. When the new Vitamin E drink came out I got 6 bottles.
While searching for freebies I found this website, it lists various offers, some do involve completing surveys for the freebies. http://www.magicfreebiesuk.co.uk/index.php
my first freebie, mini egg from Thorntons, they ask for your details, so you may want to give them a junk email address and not a primary mobile number.

Most Wanted

Thne only way, this will be in my wardrobe if I get it on credit card.

Birthday came Early

On mothers day I blagged myself an early birthday, M&S Prom Dress from the Autograph. I think I was in awe moment of having something new and expensive for a change, but I made a body shape mistake. Do you see the weird body angle, its to disguise the fact if you have hips it gives a curved side line. The waist is cut very high, so you cant have bust as it takes up length space in the bodice.

The Contenders
This will give a flattering shape for pears.
I really like the print and it would be nice to have some change left.

I like the idea of a matching belt.
This dress means more change for other purchases and more chances of revamping with accesories.

GoodBye

Goodbye online diary, you were my source of hope, and a record of the struggles I seem to be born to keep enduring. Part inflicted by myself...
